The sukhoi su-33 (flanker-d) is an all-weather carrier-based twin-engine air superiority fighter designed by sukhoi and manufactured by Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft production Association. The first of two known versions of the su-33, the twin-seat su-33ub, made its first flight in April 1999.
